The US Fish and Wildlife Service has a large number of locations throughout the United States that will appeal to travelers with an interest in nature, wildlife, archeology and history. The Bureau of Land Management also has recreational sites and places of environmental interest in Wyoming. The New Perspectives Series on the West on the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) web site offers an excellent introduction to the people, places and events that have been prominent parts of the history of the western United States. The Public Lands Information Center has a web site that is another excellent source of information for visitors to Wyoming. Wyoming's official web site has pages with a very useful introduction to the state's history. The Wyoming Historical Society is a primary source for historical information. The American Heritage Center of the University of Wyoming also has an interesting selection of historical material on-line. The Buffalo Bill Historical Center is a primary attraction for visitors to Cody and Yellowstone with an interest in Buffalo Bill Cody and other legendary figures of the Old West. The Park County Travel Council web site is a good source of information for visitors planning a trip to the Yellowstone area. Attractions in the Jackson area include the Museum of the Mountain Man, the National Museum of Wildlife Art, the Wyoming Dinosaur Center and the Jackson Hole Historical Society and Museum. The University of Wyoming is a center for arts and museums that will be of interest to some visitors. The Murie Center at Moose, north of Jackson on US26 and adjacent to the Grand Teton National Park, is an important participant in the land conservation movement in the United States.
