Welcome to Washington State The State of Washington offers much of interest to visitors with a wide range of scenic beauty and activities during all seasons of the year. TravelData21 has compiled three primary data resources to help travelers in Washington. Our highway logs will let you "drive" selected highways in Washington by scrolling your chosen pages. Go the the highway introduction page for information and links that will be useful in planning your trip. Or click on the highway link in the navigation bar to the left. We have also compiled a list of airports in Washington that provide commercial passenger and general aviation services to help you choose the airport that will be best for you. This airport home page has links to pages for individual airports to provide you with more detailed information. The airports page also has information about time zones and links for road conditions and weather in Washington. Our current project is to publish pages with cultural, historical and other information for places and regions in Washington to help visitors gain an appreciation of what they have to offer and to discover points of interest of which they may not have been aware. Several of these places are listed in the navigation bar to the left, and more will be added in the near future. The US Fish and Wildlife Service has a large number of locations throughout the United States that will appeal to travelers with an interest in nature, wildlife, archeology and history. The Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary is an important part of the Pacific Coast marine environment. The Washington state Tourism Division and the Parks and Recreation Commission have web sites that are well worth visiting for tourist and travel information. The National Forest Service and the National Park Service maintain several properties in Washington that offer many opportunities for recreation. The Bureau of Land Management also has a selection of locations for wildlife viewing and other outdoor activities. The New Perspectives Series on the West on the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) web site offers an excellent introduction to the people, places and events that have been prominent parts of the history of the western United States. The Experience Music Project in Seattle is an interactive museum telling the story of music in a creative and high-tech way. The Public Lands Information Center has a web site that is another excellent source of information for visitors to Washington.
