Spokane International Airport (GEG)

Spokane International Airport serves northeastern Washington and northern Idaho with direct flights to regional, national and Canadian airports.  The airport's official web site has airline and flight information. Aircraft charter and general aviation services are also available at this airport.

Location: The airport is located 8 miles/13 km west of downtown Spokane and is 7 miles/11 km east of Fairchild Air Force Base.  Coeur d'Alene is approximately 30 miles/48 km to the east of the airport.

Highway Connections:  The airport terminal is located on the south side of US2, the Sunset Highway, and on the north side of Interstate 90.  Spotted Road connects the airport with Exit 276 on I-90.  US2 connects with Interstate 90 at Exit 277.

Road Conditions: Road conditions should be checked on the Washington Department of Transportation web site, especially from late fall through the winter and early spring when snow and ice may be factors.  This web site also has other information that will be of interest to travelers.

Car Rentals: A good selection of car rental companies is available in the airport terminal.  Other car rental companies are available in Spokane.

Parking: Short-term and long-term/economy parking facilities are available on the airport grounds.

Ground Transportation: Taxis, shuttles and public transportation are available at the airport. Spokane Transit provides bus service from Spokane International to the Transportation Plaza located in the heart of downtown Spokane. 

There is a special military shuttle to Fairchild AFB.

Other shuttle services serve destinations in the region, including points in Idaho.

Hotels, Motels and Restaurants: There is a good selection of hotels, motels and restaurants in Spokane and other adjacent communities. 

Alternate Airports:  Airports that may serve as alternates for ground destinations in the area include Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport and Pasco/Tri-Cities Airport

Weather: The web site published by the U.S. National Weather Service is an excellent source of information for weather conditions and forecasts for the area of this airport and other parts of the United States.
