Friday Harbor Airport (FRD)

Friday Harbor Airport has scheduled flights by local air service companies to Seattle International, Boeing Field, Anacortes, Bellingham and Renton in addition to other airports in the San Juan Islands.  The airport's official web site has airline information.  The airport is also served by charter companies offering flights to Washington and British Columbia.

Location: The airport is located on the southwest side of Friday Harbor on San Juan Island.

Road Conditions: Road conditions should be checked on the Washington Department of Transportation web site, especially from late fall through the winter and early spring when snow and ice may be factors.  This web site also has other information that will be of interest to travelers.

Parking: Parking facilities are at the airport.

Hotels, Motels and Restaurants: There is a limited selection of hotels on the island.

Alternate Airports:  Airports that may serve as alternates for ground destinations in the area include Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Eastsound-Orcas Island, Lopez Island, and Victoria Airport in British Columbia in conjunction with Washington State Ferries and other ferry services. 

Weather: The web site published by the U.S. National Weather Service is an excellent source of information for weather conditions and forecasts for the area of this airport and other parts of the United States.
