Eastsound-Orcas Island Airport (ESD)

Eastsound Airport is served by air-taxi services and local flight service companies. 

Location: The airport is located on the north side of Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands, southwest of Bellingham.  

Highway Connections:  The airport is adjacent to local roads on the island.

Road Conditions: Road conditions should be checked on the Washington Department of Transportation web site, especially from late fall through the winter and early spring when snow and ice may be factors.  This web site also has other information that will be of interest to travelers.

Parking: Parking facilities are at the airport.

Ground Transportation: Local taxi services.

Hotels, Motels and Restaurants: There is a limited selection of hotels on the island.

Alternate Airports:  Airports in the area that may serve as alternates include Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Bellingham International, Friday Harbor, Lopez Island, and Victoria Airport in British Columbia in conjunction with Washington State and other ferry services. 

Weather: The web site published by the U.S. National Weather Service is an excellent source of information for weather conditions and forecasts for the area of this airport and other parts of the United States.
