Port Angeles-Fairchild International Airport (CLM)

Port Angeles-William R Fairchild International Airport (CLM) is a regional airport with flights to Seattle.  The airport's official web site has airline information. The airport also provides general aviation and charter services.

Location: The airport is located approximately 3 miles/5 km west of central Port Angeles.  

Highway Connections: The airport is north of the Airport Road junction with US101. This junction is 3.0 miles east of downtown (Lincoln Avenue and East First Street) Port Angeles.

Road Conditions: Road conditions should be checked on the Washington Department of Transportation web site, especially from late fall through the winter and early spring when snow and ice may be factors.  This web site also has other information that will be of interest to travelers.

Car Rentals: Car rental companies are available at the airport and in Port Angeles.

Parking: Parking facilities are available at the airport.

Airport Facilities and Services: Limited facilities for passengers.

Ground Transportation: Taxis are available at the airport. 

The Clallam (County) Transit System operates bus routes throughout the county and to Bainbridge, Kingston and Bremerton from where ferries run to Seattle.

Jefferson (County) Transit provides regional bus services, including routes to Seattle, Port Angeles, Bremerton and Silverdale.

Hotels, Motels and Restaurants: There is a good selection of hotels, motels and restaurants in Port Angeles and other nearby communities.

Alternate Airports:  Airports that may serve as alternates for ground destinations in the area include Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and Port Townsend-Jefferson County Airport for points on the eastern side of the Olympic Peninsula.  Victoria Airport in British Columbia could serve as an alternate with use of a ferry between Victoria and Port Angeles.

Weather: The web site published by the U.S. National Weather Service is an excellent source of information for weather conditions and forecasts for the area of this airport and other parts of the United States.
