Boeing Field-King County International Airport (BFI) The official name for this airport is King County International, but it is more commonly referred to as Boeing Field. The airport has a variety of activities with providing flight facilities for Boeing Aircraft Company being one of the major services. There are local flying services offering commercial passenger flights to the San Juan Islands. Recent news reports indicate there could be an expansion of commercial flight services from this airport in the future. The airport is also home to the Museum of Flight, one of many popular attractions in the Seattle Area. Location: The airport is located approximately 7 miles/11 km south of central Seattle, adjacent to Interstate Highway 5. It is approximately 7 miles/11 km north of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Highway Connections: The airport is on the west side of Interstate 5 between Exits 158 (northbound) and 161(southbound). Road Conditions: Road conditions should be checked on the Washington Department of Transportation web site, especially from late fall through the winter and early spring when snow and ice may be factors.
