Washington (Ronald Reagan) National Airport (DCA) Airport Description: Washington (Ronald Reagan) National Airport is one of the major airports on the East Coast of the United States offering a range of direct intercontinental flights in addition to many flights throughout North America. Airport Location: The airport is located across the Potomac River from Washington, DC and is adjacent to Arlington and Alexandria in Virginia. By road the airport is approximately 13 miles/21 km from the U.S. Capitol area. Highway Connections: The airport is close to the George Washington Memorial Parkway which offers connections to the highway system around Washington, DC. Highway Routes from the Airport: From the airport the George Washington Memorial Parkway connects to the north with Interstate 395 which runs eastbound to connect with I-295 for points in Maryland on the east side of the District of Columbia.
