Monterey Peninsula Airport (MRY)

Monterey Peninsula Airport (MRY) is a regional airport on the central California coast with a large number of flights to Los Angeles International Airport and San Francisco International Airport.  A number of flights are also available to Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport in Arizona. Flight schedules are available on the airport's official web site.  The airport also has general aviation and charter services.

Location: The airport is located approximately 4 miles/6 km east of downtown Monterey and on the south side of Seaside.

Highway Connections:  The terminal area is adjacent to state route CA68 and 2 miles/3 km east of CA1, the scenic Pacific Coast Highway.  CA68 runs east to Salinas and US101.

For road condition and weather reports and time zone information go to the California airports home page.

Car Rentals: Car rentals are available at the airport and in Monterey.

Parking: Short-term and long-term/economy parking facilities are available on the airport grounds.

Web Site:  The airport's official web site provides a good range of information on facilities, services and other important matters, and it should be checked for current information.

Alternate Airports:  San Jose International (SJC) and the San Luis Obispo (SBP) airports may be suitable alternates for ground destinations in this area.

Ground Transportation: Taxis and shuttles are available for transportation to surrounding destinations.  The Monterey-Salinas Transit provides regional bus service.  Route 21 operates between Monterey and Salinas and stops at the airport.

Hotels, Motels and Restaurants: There is a large selection of restaurants, hotels and motels in Monterey and other surrounding communities along CA1 and US101. Several hotels and motels provide shuttle service between their facilities and the airport.
