London-Luton Airport (LTN)

London - Luton Airport (LTN) is in Bedforshire and offers a selection of flights to airports in the UK, Ireland, Iceland, North Africa and continental Europe.   It is about 35 miles/59 km north of central London and 12 miles/19 km north of St. Albans and convenient to points in central and eastern England.  The airport's web site has information about flights and other topics of interest to travelers.  There is a convenient connection to a nearby main rail line with services south to London and north to north eastern England and Scotland. There are also excellent coach services.

Transportation:  There is a good selection of rail, bus, coach and taxi services available at the airport.

Railways:  A shuttle bus operates between the airport and Luton Airport Parkway and Milton Keynes rail stations.  Midland Mainline provides rail services from St. Pancras Station in London to South Yorkshire and the East Midlands. Major cities served include Leeds, Nottingham, Leicester and Derby. There is also a station at Luton that is convenient for Luton Airport.

Thameslink runs from Bedford, north of Luton airport, through central London to Brighton on the south coast and provides connecting services to Luton and Gatwick airports.

Virgin Trains, which offers routes through England to Scotland and Wales, can be connected to at Milton Keynes via RailLink service from the airport.

WAGN Railway serves a large area north of London from Kings Cross, Moorgate and Liverpool Street stations.  There are connecting services to London-Luton Airport and London- Stansted Airport

Bush and Coach Services:  National Express and other operators provide bus and coach services from the airport to nearby Luton, central London and a variety of other destinations.  The airport's web site has information on ground transportation services.

Hotels:  There is a good selection of hotels and other accommodations in Luton and in the surrounding area.
