Airports in Ireland

The Travel Ireland web site has a map of Ireland showing airports with commercial passenger services.

The international airports at Dublin, Belfast, and Shannon have direct flights between North America and are worthy of consideration for any travel that includes a visit to Ireland as these gateways will mean a reduction in trans-Atlantic flying time compared with other airports in Britain or Europe. They are much less congested than most other international airports.

Belfast International Airport (BFS) is located west of Belfast in Northern Ireland with direct service between North America in addition to regional and European flights.  Translink Airbus connects the airport with the Europa Buscentre in Belfast.

Belfast City/Harbour Airport (BHD) is located near Belfast and offers regional flights.  The Belfast City Airlink connects the airport with central Belfast.

Cork Airport (ORK) is located on the south coast and offers flights between other airports in Ireland, Britain (including London), and continental Europe.

Derry/Londonderry Airport (LDY) is located in Northern Ireland and provides regional services

Donegal Regional Airport/Carrickfinn (CFN) is located in the northwest corner of Ireland, north of the city of Donegal.

Dublin Airport (DUB) is located north of the city on the east coast with flights to other parts of Ireland and between the United States, Britain and continental Europe.

Enniskillen Airport is a small airport in Fermanagh District with seasonal passenger services and general aviation services.

Galway Airport (GWY) is a regional airport on the west coast of Ireland.

Kerry County Airport (KIR) is a regional airport in the southwest of Ireland.

Knock International Airport (NOC) on the west coast offers regional services

Shannon Airport (SNN) is located on the west coast of Ireland and offers flights between the United States, England and other major airports in continental Europe.

Sligo Airport (SXL) is a regional airport in the northwest of Ireland.

Waterford Regional Airport (WRA) is located in the southeast and provides regional services.
