Piedmont (Piemonte) province is in the northwestern corner of Italy adjacent to the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of France and the southern border of Switzerland.

The Val Grande National Park is the largest wilderness area in Italy.  It is in Verbano Cusio Ossola province.  The web site has Italian and English versions.
