The German National Tourism Board web site is an excellent resource to begin planning for a trip to Germany.  This site has a very useful mapping system to assist with driving directions and travel planning.  The New York Office web site is another very good source for visitors.

The Deutschland Portal provides access to information (multi-lingual) on a variety of topics related to Germany.

The Kultur Pur Deutschland web site is an excellent source of information for museums, concerts and other cultural pursuits in this city. (German only)

The Technical University of Chemnitz has a very useful German-English dictionary on the web.

Das Telefonbuch (The Telephone Book) is an excellent resource for finding telephone numbers in Germany.  In addition to German, there are English and French versions.

The Deutsches Jugendherbergswerk (German Youth Hostel) web site is multi-lingual and is the official on-line source of information for using the hostel system in Germany.

The Federal Government (Bundesregierung) web site provides information that is mostly government-related, but it also has a number of pages of interest to travelers.  Versions are available in German, English, French and Spanish.

World Heritage Sites:  UNESCO has designated several places as World Heritage Sites in Germany.  The UNESCO-Welterbe Deutschland web site is an excellent companion to the UNESCO site for planning tours and visits to these sites.

Nicolas Janberg's Structurae web site has architectural data regarding many important buildings and other structures in Germany and links to other sites with related information.
