Old Town Lunenburg (see also Parks Canada) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site The Town of Lunenburg was formally established in 1753 as the first British Colonial settlement in Nova Scotia outside of Halifax. Lunenburg is about 56 miles/90 km (by road) west of Halifax.
