Miyazaki Prefecture is on the island and region of Kyushu which is across from the Chugoku Region at the southwestern end of Honshu, Japan's principal island.

The Miyazaki, Ebino, Kiyotake, Miyakonojo and Nichinan web sites have information in English about their cities and places and events of interest.

The Aoshima Jinja (Aoshima Shinto Shrine) is a building of historical and religious interest.

Airport:  Miyazaki Airport has flights to other domestic airports.
