Welcome to the Shizuoka Prefecture
The Shizuoka Prefecture is part of the Chubu Region which is centrally located on the island of Honshu.
The official web site for the prefecture has an English version with information about the prefecture including tourism and transportation.

The Hamamatsu (unofficial) and Fujinomiya web sites have information about their communities. The Fujinomiya site has excellent collections of photographs of Mount Fuji.
Hakone National Park is adjacent to the Shizuoka prefecture.
