Welcome to the Chubu Region

The Chubu Region is close to the center of Honshu, the largest of the Japanese islands and to the west of Tokyo and the Kanto Region.  The Kansai Region is west of the Chubu Region.  The Sea of Japan is on the region's northern coast while the Pacific Ocean is on its southern coast.  The prefectures of Aichi, Fukui, Gifu, Ishikawa, Nagano, Niigata, Shizuoka, Toyama and Yamanashi are within this region.

Nagoya is the largest city in the region and Mount Fuji (Fujiyama) is among its principal attractions.
