The Aichi Prefecture is part of the Chubu Region which is centrally located on the island of Honshu.  The official web site for the prefecture has an English version with information about the prefecture including tourism and transportation.

Nagoya is the principal city of the prefecture and one of the largest in Japan.  Its official web site has very limited information in English.  The city's transportation bureau has information about using its bus and subway systems.  Click here for a tourist map.  The Nagoya Info Guide is a very good source of information in English for learning about the city's attractions.

The Toyota City web site has extensive information in English for visitors.

Airports: 

Central Japan Airport is near Nagoya and offers domestic and international flights.

The Nagoya Komaki Airport has flights to other domestic airports
