The Union Territory of Pondicherry includes the capital of Pondicherry to the south of Chennai in Tamil Nadu on the Coromandel Coast of southern India; Karaikal to the south of Pondicherry; Yanam in the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradhesh; and Mahe in the Cannanore District of Kerala.
