Welcome to Shaanxi Province

Xi'an is the capital of Shaanxi province.  The Municipality of Xi'an web site has Chinese and English versions.

The Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

The Great Wall in Liaoning, Jilin, Hebei, Beijing, Tianjin, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Ningxia, Gansu, Xinjiang, Shandong, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Sichuan and Qinghai provinces has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

The Ruins of Daming Palace of the Tang Dynasty, the Remains of Chang'an City of the Han Dynasty, the City Wall of Xi'an and the Forest of Steles in Xi'an have been submitted for World Heritage status to UNESCO.

The Chinese section of the Silk Road running  from Xi'an City, Sha'anxi Province, going all the way to the west along Hexi Corridor in Gansu Province and through Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region has been submitted for World Heritage status to UNESCO.

The Hua Shan Scenic Area and the Maijishan Scenic Spots have been submitted for World Heritage status to UNESCO.

Airports:  There are airports at Huxian, Xi'an, Xianyang, Yan'an and Yulin.
