Welcome to Guangdong Province

The official web site for the Guangdong government is only in Chinese but an English version is planned.

The Guangzhou Tourism Information Center web site provides an introduction to places of interest in this area.  Guangzhou for many years was better known in the Western world as Canton.

The Municipality of Shenzhen web site has Chinese and English versions.  The English version is oriented mostly towards government and commerce, but it has introductory tourism information.  The Shenzhen Tourism Administrator web site has travel and tourism information in English and is a good resource for travel planning.

Kaiping Diaolou has been submitted for World Heritage status to UNESCO.

Airports:  Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport is about 21 miles / 35 km west of central Shenzhen. As the fourth largest airport in China, it offers an extensive selection of domestic and international flights.  The airport's official web site has Chinese and English versions and provides airline, flight and other information to assist with travel planning.

Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport has domestic and international flights.  The airport's official web site has airline, flight and other information to assist with travel planning.

There are also airports at Conghua, Shantou and Zhanjiang.

The web site for the Municipality of Shantou is only in Chinese.
