The Mogao Caves have been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
The Great Wall in Liaoning, Jilin, Hebei, Beijing, Tianjin, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Ningxia, Gansu, Xinjiang, Shandong, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Sichuan and Qinghai provinces has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
The Chinese section of the Silk Road running from Xi'an City, Sha'anxi Province, going all the way to the west along Hexi Corridor in Gansu Province and through Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region has been submitted for World Heritage status to UNESCO.
Airport: There are airports at Dunhuang and Lanzhou. The official web site for Lanzhou Zhongchuan Airport is only in Chinese.
